Re: Metro High School Network

Metro High School has contacted us regarding parents’ concerns about their children’s access to the school network with personal devices. Many of them are concerned that their child may bring home a virus from the school’s network and want to know what the school is doing to prevent attacks and what they can do at home to make sure their child’s computer is not vulnerable.

Task

Using Word, create and appropriately format an easy-to-read FAQ page.

Your page must include the following:

1. At least 15 questions and answers of your choice that address the following:
   1. Risks to the network
   2. Risks to computers connected to network
   3. Ways to protect the network
   4. Ways to protect individual computers
   5. At least three specific software programs (e.g., Symantec^® Antivirus Corporate Protection) that can be used to protect either the network or personal computers. Make sure you explain what the program does and how it protects.

Questions should be easy to identify (e.g., bold, different font, or different color text). Each response should include at least 4 sentences that clearly explain the response to the question.

Each question must be answered in a minimum of 100 words

1.Your company has noticed a substantial decline in productivity over the past months and wants to find out why. The CEO has asked you about network controls and monitoring that they might use within the company. Begin by researching the laws both nationally and in your state regarding employers and network monitoring. Next, suggest some devices and/or software the company might employ to help keep employees on task or, in the alternative, to identify when they are not. Finally, explain how you would implement the plan. Would you tell the employees that they are being monitored? Why or why not?

2.are we managing people or just letting technology d it for us? I keep looking at it from the other angle.. ask the question, why are we in this position? Why do we need to install this?

Is this because employee accountability is low? If due dates or assignments are missed, is it the fault of technology? Is it a poor manager that does not take action to coach and move towards progressive discipline?

3. Is it legal for companies you work for to monitor what sites you go to? If so what is the grey area for a company that allows you to use your own device for work. While you are not working on a company network ?

4.Conduct a web search on “The best and worst communications in business” using your favorite search engine (e.g., Google).Give two reasons why this website was your choice of either the best or the worst communication and discuss what should or should not be done when creating effective communications in the world today. You may also include the trouble with texting as good or bad communication.

5. Will A survey will also help their HR department target the areas they can improve in their communication and core values to demonstrate to their employees?

6. What ways can the idea of learning how to communicate with a group as opposed to communicating with just one person can benefit you. Is it always a great approach to things?
