Use the above quotation to think about how reading texts from various parts of the world gives us a deeper understanding about the world and our relationships with other countries. You are engaging with the quote as you get into the paper.You don’t have to quote it in your paper (although it’s probably a good idea). It’s more of a source to help you think about the interconnectedness of the world and how that’s changed lately.

From Dr. Alabi as to the question you’re trying to answer: For this examination, analyze how your reading of the texts on our syllabus helped you to understand the world better than before you started this class.

You have a lot of freedom in the way you try to respond and how you relate the texts we’ve read but you’re mostly trying to connect the available readings together and then also use them to show how your understanding has grown since the beginning of the semester. Try to make it as even as possible. Spend equal time talking about the more analytical side (themes, forms, narrative devices, symbolism, etc.) of the texts you chose, their similarities and then give your personal growth of understanding from those texts.

  • Online sources are acceptable BUT must be scholarly peer reviewed sources. No non-scholarly sources (Study Guides, Wikipedia, Not Credible Websites).

Final Note:

The paper is due Friday, November 20^th at 8 am on Blackboard. There are no extensions (unless you’ve reached out to Dr. Alabi). There’s no re-opening the submission box on Blackboard if you missed the submission time. Once the deadline is reached then whatever is in gets graded.
